Chiquo Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 13, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Chiquo, operated by Perdus Labs, handles information when you use the Chiquo mobile application.
Face Data and Photos
What we collect: Chiquo collects only the photo that you deliberately select when you start an edit. If that photo contains a face, the face pixels contained in the photo are treated as face data. Chiquo does not extract or create faceprints, facial landmarks, facial embeddings, facial geometry, biometric identifiers, or face-recognition profiles.
How we use it: The selected photo, including any face visible in it, is used only to apply the photographic effect you requested and return the edited image. Chiquo does not use face data to identify, authenticate, profile, track, advertise to, or make decisions about a person. Face data is not used to train our own artificial intelligence models.
Sharing and processing: The selected photo is transmitted over HTTPS to our Firebase Cloud Function and then to our image-processing provider, fal.ai, solely to perform the requested edit. Input and output photos are processed in memory and are not written to our Firebase database or Firebase Storage. Face data and photos are not sold and are not shared with advertisers, analytics providers, data brokers, or other third parties for advertising or profiling.
Retention: Provider storage is disabled. Any temporary media created by the image-processing provider is configured to expire no later than one hour after processing. Chiquo does not retain input photos on its servers. The edited result is returned to the device and remains in Chiquo's local on-device Archive until you delete it, clear the local Archive or account data, or uninstall the app.
Account and Purchase Data
Chiquo uses Firebase Authentication to maintain an app account and Firestore to store credit balances and transaction-ledger records. RevenueCat and Apple process subscription and purchase information. Chiquo does not receive or store your full payment-card details.
Analytics and Diagnostics
Chiquo uses Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Performance Monitoring, Remote Config, and App Check to understand product use, diagnose failures, protect the service, and operate app features. Chiquo does not use this information to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies, and it does not share app analytics with advertising networks.
App Tracking Transparency
Chiquo does not track users across apps or websites owned by other companies. The app does not include the Meta/Facebook SDK, does not collect IDFA for advertising attribution, and does not send user-level app events or purchase identifiers to Meta.
Your Choices
- You choose whether to select and upload a photo for editing.
- You can delete individual edited images or clear the local Archive in the app.
- You can delete your Chiquo account from Settings.
- You can remove locally stored app data by uninstalling Chiquo.
Security
Chiquo uses HTTPS, Firebase App Check, authenticated backend requests, and access controls designed to protect data while the service processes it.
